What You Do Ain’t for the Faint of Heart? Explain

Many people say they want to improve, but frequently they find out during the consultation session that they’re actually content with their life. I only work with people who are SERIOUS about creating freedom and simplicity while profitably growing their business and winning at life. The only way I can ensure results is to disqualify the people I can’t help. The people I coach learn to accept and embrace that getting coached can be very uncomfortable, and that it takes courage and guts and a white hot fire in the belly to change.

If your not one of those people then that’s ok, just cancel your complimentary consultation and I promise no one will ever know and you’ll get to stay in your comfort zone, OK?

That’s a bad habit that needs to be destroyed. Ask yourself a better question: How much new business do you need to add to have coaching pay for itself? Do the math and you’ll discover that it doesn’t take much new business to cover the cost. And once you learn my strategies, techniques and action steps and fully develop the habits of success you’ll continue to get exponential returns each day for the remainder of your career and life. And don’t be self-deceived and think “I’ll hire you when my business/life gets better”— that’s assbackward thinking: Your business and life will get better when YOU get better.

How is coaching different from therapy?

I get my clients laser focused on developing effective habits of thought which displaces the mental and emotional garbage that holds people back. None of us can change the past but we can improve the future. My job is helping my clients to get laser focused on moving forward into an incredible future. Which coincidentally is therapeutic.

I brought in a consultant. Why do I need a mentor or coach?

Has the consultant helped you create more freedom and greater simplicity in your business? Have they helped you win at life?

Be honest with yourself. If the consultant was helping you achieve success you would not be reading these frequently asked questions.

What is the best way to select a mentor or coach?

Find someone that offers a complimentary coaching session. Then during that session pay attention to the questions they ask. If they don’t ask the kinds of questions that lead you to great answers then keep searching until you find someone who does. And … that knowing thing you get deep in your gut, it’s there for a reason-listen to it.

How do you motivate your clients?

I CAN’T! Motivation comes from within. What I will do is help you untangle your thoughts and beliefs which will help you find and gain access to your own passion and motivation.

What is your coaching process?

The process depends on the individual.

Most of my clients thought they were focused before they became my clients. And almost all of them have listened to motivational tapes, attended personal development seminars and read self-help books, but still haven’t adopted and effectively applied the success principles they learned from those sources.

My job as a coach is to assign real world practice, designed to equip and empower them with those success principles, strategies, techniques and action steps to fully develop the success habits.

For instance: millions of people have listened to Stephen Covey’s habit #5, Seek first to understand and then to be understood. Few have adopted and mastered it.

What I do with all clients is put them through my process designed to reframe their FOCUS on those high priority things that will move them in an accelerated pace towards their goals. I also help clients learn how to properly visualize successful outcomes the way great athletes do — it works in sports, and it works the same in business.

I’m confident that if a client does the work, he will get the intended results. While I can’t guarantee specific monetary results, my clients are highly satisfied with what we accomplish together, including the growth of their personal income.

What do you mean, you lead by example?

I use the same techniques and principles I share with my clients to push through barriers and reach higher levels of growth in all areas of my life. I think it would be hypocritical to do anything less

So you get many of your new clients through referrals from your existing clients?

Yes. As part of our agreement, all of my clients are required to give me referrals based upon their success from working with me. I am modeling for them how to get referrals for themselves, which is an important habit for all professionals to acquire.

How do you hold your clients accountable to follow through on their commitments?

It’s not easy. People have forgotten what it means to follow through and follow through is fundamental to their success. The same way you get from here to anywhere is the same way I help clients become Successful … little by little, over time. I use a simple one page answer on screen accountability report that every client is required to fill out and submit between sessions. And if they don’t do the work they are penalized by having to send a sizable check (5-10K range) to an individual or organization they loathe.

30-45 minutes, once a week – you’ve got to be kidding!!!

30-45 minutes together once a week forces my clients to be focused, organized and to take action. And the weekly accountability report they maintain and share with me prior to our session that describes what went well, what needs improvement and a one-to-ten rating for the week helps identify where extra work is needed.

And the phone, skype or Google Plus Hangout provides enough anonymity that allows clients to feel safe enough to share what’s really going on in their lives, which is what I need if I’m going to truly help them overcome their “self-limiting beliefs” and become high achievers.

You’ve have no experience or background in our industry.

That may or may not be true. But it doesn’t matter. You see … Success principles are transcendent. They apply to business and they apply to life. They don’t care if you’re a widget salesman, a financial advisor, an attorney or a wall street stock broker. Success Principles are impartial and work for everyone who learns and applies them.

Are your fees negotiable?

Yes – you can pay me more! No they’re not negotiable. If you’re worried about the fee then what you’re really saying is that you don’t believe in yourself. Let’s be honest and fix your belief. Then we can get started.

I’m already doing well in my career – why should I use a coach?

Good question! Why do all top performing entrepreneurs and professionals choose to hire a coach? Because successful people everywhere know that success is an ongoing process, and that they must continually improve or they will atrophy and become less effective. It’s sad, but the people who need coaching the most are the least likely to invest in themselves because they don’t understand the importance of ongoing personal and professional development. Which is why they don’t become Outrageously Successful

Why did you decide to become a coach?

Because I discovered that I’m good at it. Some might say, great. It fulfills me. I can’t imagine doing anything else. There is no greater moment for me than when a client breaks-through to a higher level of success in their profession and in their life. That’s the stuff dreams are made of.
